Time for a straight-up useful writing blog spotlight. This one came to me from my awesome sci-fi writing friend Linda Nagata, who has 7 published novels to her credit and is riding the reprint wave by re-issuing them in e-book format. Check out her award winning books on any of the major sites.

She pointed me to Dean Wesley Smith (a very prolific writer in a variety of genres) and his excellent blog Killing the Sacred Cows of Publishing.
I like his cowboy, take-no-prisoners attitude!
Whatever stage you are in the writing/publishing process, this blog (and his site in general) have clearly written, nonhysterical analyses of the seismic shift in publishing, trends and tips for writers. Readers will also find a host of great titles to download (cheap!)
