Red Rain, Lei Crime Series 11, is live today!
I worked hard to resolve the cliffhanger ending of Bone Hook related to what happened to Stevens in record time, and I'm proud of this book!
What a suspenseful tale. Red Rain was just amazing to write, the first Lei Crime novel in which I did virtually no plotting or outlining. From the moment I decided I’d be in Stevens’s head for this journey, I was hooked. He had a lot going on, and resolving it and coming up with the twists at the end were some of the most fun I’ve ever had writing. And then there's Lei—really growing as a woman and a mother, learning to stick to things and see them through, curbing her impulses but expanding her ability to love and commit. Writing a series this long is such a wonderful journey!
Sergeant First Class Mary (M.L.) Doyle, who was my military consult for the book, said this about it: “Toby Neal is known for well-crafted and emotionally charged mysteries, and Red Rain may be her best yet. Neal gives us two suspenseful and unpredictable storylines, equally taut with intrigue and masterfully told, woven together in an intricately carved puzzle filled with the kind of inner character exploration we expect from a Lei Crime story. Neal pulls out all the stops on this one!” ~M. L. Doyle, author of the Master Sergeant Harper Mysteries
I hope you'll take a look and grab a copy for your post-Christmas trip to paradise…but DON'T start this late at night, you won't be able to put it down!

Looking forward to downloading it today and reading it. I love all your books. Recommend them every time someone asks what is a good book to read.
Heading to Amazon right now! Ironically, today my husband and I were shopping, and noticed a woman with The Islands tattooed on her wrist. She commented how much she missed Hawaii…and without missing a beat, I exclaimed, You must read Toby Neal’s books. It’s the closest thing to being there!
Thank you for great exciting and entertaining reads… and for your devoted presence to your fans. We love you!
Now off I go to find out what the Heck has happened with Steven and to not get anything productive done this weekend.
I’m so excited. I’ve been putting off downloading Bone Hook until Ted Rain was live…that way, I could have twice as much Lei.

Hope you, Mike & the kids had a very Mele Kalikimaka & have a wonderful Hauoli Makahiki Hou. Hehe – I’m still only about half way through Fire Beach (only because I’m slow with reading it) but love the sound of Red Rain. Sounds amazing. Looking forward to getting caught up & reading it.
Received e book this morning, started reading 3 hours later finished (as is usual with Lea Texiera stories) when will Bitter Feast be available for pre order on Amazon?
Wow I better check my Kindle. It should be there. As soon as I get in from shoveling snow, I will be getting a mug of cider and my copy of Red Rain!
Toby you had my heart with the last one, never related to another story’s characters before BH. Would love to win the latest and get lost again.
Can’t wait to read Red Rain! I am leaving for vacation soon and think I will treat myself to another read of Bone Hook followed by Red Rain!

Yay! Another Lei Crime novel. I haven’t read the last one so now I can binge read them.
Hey Toby, so glad to hear “Red Rain” is finished, when I heard “Bone Hook” was a cliff hanger, I decided to wait until it was finished to start reading….not fond of cliff hangers! LOL Winning a free copy would be great, but if I have to buy it, I will. I’ve read all of the books in this series so I HAVE to these two also! Thanks for writing such a thrilling series!
There’s something snow on the ground, it’s 14 degrees outside, the sun is setting, and a fire in the woodstove. It’s time to start reading!
There’s snow on the ground, not something snow!
I LOVE the Lei Crime series. Little did I know that buying Blood Orchids would open me up to enjoying such a fantastic series. So much so that you’re now my favorite author.

when does the physical book come out?
I was just nagging the publisher (on hold for 45 minutes!!) the other day and they are backlogged with Christmas book orders. I got notification my proof copy is finally on the way; once I get that and approve it, it’s usually available within a week at Amazon or B and N.
