The Beauty Venture: water patterns
Water patterns have enchanted me for awhile. Here are some images from my last few years of collecting pictures of water. It almost immediately brings a sense of peace to look at water–in one of my hypnotherapy classes, we were given the suggestion that the sight of water would bring a reminder to be at peace, calm down, to “be easy.”
I realize now, years later, the sight of water still calms. And always did. Water patterns are all around us. Notice them.
Love all the patterns and textures in your water pics!
One of my most fervent hopes if I ever manage to get a job again (discouraged tonight, don’t mind me) is that I can get a new car, and actually be able to go to the coast periodically. It’s only a few hours from where I am, and while it’s WAY too cold for swimming (which makes me sad), the Oregon coast is still quite beautiful. I completely agree, water is deeply calming and I miss being able to be around it (in forms other than rain or my bathtub). Hoping to be able to get up to Sauvie Island in the summers too, spend time on the river beaches… who knows, if there’s enough shallow water by the beach, it might even get warm enough to at least wade in… I love the timing of this entry, it’s been a rough evening and this was *exactly* what I needed before bed. 🙂
