WIRED HARD, Paradise Crime #3, is here!
Paradise has nowhere to hide from a thief with an obsession.
Security specialist Sophie Ang has a new case: someone is looting artifacts from a royal Hawaiian archaeological site on Maui. Things get deadly fast, and Sophie’s friend, Lei Texeira, Maui homicide detective, takes the case. The women track a killer whose tangled motives extend high into the world of Hawaiian cultural affairs, and deep into the darkest of human motivations—and all the while, Sophie walks a tightrope between new love and heartbreak.
“Neal's writing is persistently riveting… Masterly.” ~Kirkus Reviews
Advance readers on Goodreads rave:
“This is an excellent sequel to all the Lei Crime Series books that have Sophie Ang as one of the characters, plus the best of the three in the Wired series in my estimation. I adore what happens to Sophie. The story also teams her up with Lei, which is an unexpected touch but a welcome one. As a reader, one feels Sophie's pain and angst. The descriptions of the places she goes drops you right into the story. You just can't put it down once you have started. Can't wait for the next installment.” JH, Goodreads
“I just finished Wired Hard. I loved it! Whew, pretty intense there toward the end! I let my imagination run wild, thinking that Sophie was going to realize she’d been in love with ??? all along so I was surprised by the ending. Can't wait for more!” AL, advance reader

My favorite thing about Hawaii is the aloha spirit that surrounds me on every visit! <3
Yes! xox
My favorite thing about Hawaii is that I’m dying to go back. My ex husband and I moved to Kauai in 1974 from Vacaville, Ca. He had gotten a job building the Princeville clubhouse and we eventually found a little “shack” in Hanalei right off of the beach. We made Hawaiian friends, got married there and my second son was born in Lihue in 1975. We came home in 1976 and I left a piece of my heart there. Life happens, and times got tough but someday!
What a wonderful story! We were on Kauai at the same time, then. I lived at the Wilcoxes’ big white estate near the pier; I was 12 in 1976 and my dad was the caretaker/yard guy for that big place. So much fun to live there!
